DIY Clothes: Skull Sweater

Hello my fashionistas! Spring is coming early this year, thanks to Mr. Groundhog! However, I don't know how the weather is like for you all, but the weather in Stockton, California has been sporadic. It's cold and hot and hot and cold. So this piece will be for that middle ground weather, where it's too hot for a fur-line jacket, but it's cold for a t-shirt. Try on this for size, fashionable DIY fun! This is how you'll make a studded, floral skull for your normal, everyday sweatshirt. Pair this with some leggings and flats and you've got yourself a casual, chic outfit for school.

  1. Draw a design you like with a marker or pen, anything you like, make sure it's not too intricate because it might be hard to stud or even cut later. I drew a skull because I think they're so cute and they're definitely in this season.

  2. Cut the paper out and use that as a stencil to cut your skull.
  3. Fasten the skull onto your piece of fabric with some pincushion needles.

  4. Adjust the piece of fabric on where you want it on your sweater. You can sew it on, use fabric glue, or use heat and bond to attach the picture to your sweater.

  5. For that final, edgy touch... add studs around the entire picture and make sure the studs are on the fabric and your sweater.

Toodles,
Angelina
